Gloomweaver was confirmed to have been accepted ahead of the 2020 season, but had to withdraw due to time constraints with filming of the season being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses hydraulic systems to power its legs. Much like the most recent build of Chomp, Gloomweaver was entitled to the 500lb weight limit for walking robots, double that of competitors using more traditional methods of locomotion such as wheels, tracks or shuffling systems. Gloomweaver was designed to have grabbing pincers at the front with a flamethrower in the center. It is a six-legged walking robot designed to resemble a large spider. Gloomweaver was a heavyweight robot designed by Good Robots for Cool People, which applied for BattleBots World Championship V and VI.
